Montevideo Day 3

More great architecture in Montevideo. The houses are built attached, like the are in Europe, but instead of these being apartment houses they are all private houses. The doors open right into the foyer of the house. Mine is the same way.







Today we went to the beach. We took this bus but didn't know where to get off and we ended up at the end of the line. We started to walk back, thinking it wasn't so far, and after about 5 minutes a bus stopped for us. It was the driver of the first bus! He told us to get on for free and he took us where we needed to go. It was a good thing we didn't have to walk because it would have taken about 30 minutes in the blazing sun. He also told us how to get back to town later. Below is Cecile on the bus and on the right our bus driver with a heart of gold.
