Goodbye Week

I am leaving New York for Rome in approximately 42 hours. I will be there until January then will be in Uruguay from January til March and Peru from March til June.

This week has been nutty, seeing all my people for the "last" time. A few have said that I'm never returning -- not that I'll wind up dead in a roadside ditch in Tuscany, but that I'll meet some dude for whom I'll cancel all my future plans. We'll see about that.

I'm going to try to photodocument as much as possible, so here are some pictures I took during my last week:

Phil for brunch and Cookies:

Diane and Tiane for Cafe du Soleil:

At Robert Moses beach on Fire Island last Saturday:

Dinner and cookies with Krystyn:

Bike Ride on Riverside Park with Tiane:

Capturing the view of the Chrysler building and the Hudson River/NJ from my bedroom window... I am sad I won't see them as I'm going to sleep anymore:

And then I documented my last day at work:

I sat next to Heather, a dour Associate Creative Director:

And Rowena, a Project Manager who hated most when I laughed and/or was visibly happy:

But despite this, we were kind of friends:

There was lollygagging:

This was my cube:

My view out the window:

Everyone was really happy because they ordered tacos on the company for my farewell lunch. That's Jennie on the right. She's awesome because she can basically do anything:

Megan is excellent at massage, even when it's almost a butt massage:

How the name of this blog came about, the product of workplace indifference with a dash of ineptitude:
